equestrian facility is an easy drive away. The Flying Horse riding school
offers individualized horseback riding lessons for all ages and all
abilities, taught by a highly qualified English riding instructor. Riding
lessons are available in all aspects of English riding, including natural
horsemanship, jumping lessons, dressage lessons, and beginning riding
lessons for children and adults.

Horseback Riding Lesson Specifics
Lesson Length:
Horseback riding lessons at Flying Horse School of
Horsemanship in Chandler, Arizona are generally 60 minutes long —
with accommodations
for number of riders in the lesson, individual goals,
skill level, fitness,
age, and attention span of each horse/rider partnership.
Curriculum: All aspects of Enlightened
Horsemanship are covered
during horseback riding lessons. These include safe handling of
horses, grooming, saddling, bridling, general equine knowledge,
familiarity with equipment effective rider/horse communication, basic
equine psychology, and show ring strategies.
Beginner
riders are taught to prepare the horse for riding, how to warm-up,
and how to care for the horse afterwards. As riders advance, they are
expected to do these things independently before the lesson begins so
that instruction may focus on other skills.
Proper Lesson Attire: Flying Horse School of
Horsemanship
requests that proper riding pants be worn by all riders along
with either paddock boots and gaiters (half-chaps) or tall boots. An
approved helmet is required for adults who are jumping and all children
at all times when mounted. We encourage helmets for all riders. Shirts
should be well-fitting and/or tucked in — baggy and/or billowing
clothing is unacceptable. Long and/or wispy hair should be neatly tied
back.
